A January Walk in the Akrotiri Mountains

We went for a short walk from our house up through the sheep and goat grazing areas to an abandoned village. We walked up a dirt road that went past bee hives then turned into a donkey trail. This is a great time of year to hike, nice and cool and green. Some early flowers are blooming. There is a cave church that is still kept up at the village. Maybe we'll find out which Saint it is named for and go to the celebration. The logs are covering the well to keep the sheep and goats from falling in. The mountains with the snow are called the White Mountains.
